Cascade Beagle Rescue East and the Eastern German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue group (EGSPRG) have joined forces to raise money for abandoned and surrendered dogs. The second annual Joann Miller Memorial run (J.A.M.M.), being held Sunday, April 18, 2010 is dedicated to Miller who was a Monroe, New York resident and a dedicated member of the Cascade group. She died at the age of 55 In 2007 of renal failure and her husband insisted that she would have wanted money raised for her beloved cause rather than her disease.
Registration for the 60 -mile countryside ride begins at 10 a.m. at the Chatterbox Drive-In, State Highway 15, Augusta. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be served. A blessing of the bikes will be at 10:45 am and the run starts at 11 a.m., with “kickstands up” immediately after.
The ride ends at Pub 517 on Route 517 in Allamuchy Twp, NJ where participants can purchase lunch and raffle results will be drawn. Participants get a free raffle ticket with any donation of a dog toy, treat, leash, or collar.
The ride fee donation is $15.00 per rider and per passenger, and all proceeds benefit Cascade Beagle Rescue and EGSPRG. Each group is comprised of all volunteers from NY, NJ and PA, who are dedicated to finding homes for abandoned or surrendered Beagles or German Shorthaired Pointers, respectively.
